Position Summary
The Manager, Business Development - Corporate is responsible for business development and account management within the corporate sales market segments for Crown Macau & City of Dreams. The focus of the role is maintaining excellent customer service, fostering business relationships, adherence to service standards and obtaining financial goals. The Manager, Business Development - Corporate is also responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate sales & marketing strategies within the Corporate market segment to maximize the potential of existing accounts and sourcing new business. Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve revenue and expenditure budgets as specified in KPOs and assist the Assistant Director, Corporate & Trade in development strategies for the Corporate market
- Implement strategies as per Sales & Marketing Plan to ensure key account management and business development opportunities are maximized. This includes effective management of corporate accounts through effective client contact, sales calls, attending Trade Shows in Hong Kong and overseas when applicable and entertaining in and out of office hours and facilitating entertainment and site inspections to develop relationships with key client contacts.
- Achieve targets for Corporate Room Sales for Crown Macau & City of Dreams. This includes evaluating business for its potential to the whole City of Dreams & Crown Macau
- Convert leads and pursue new business through direct inquiries, targeting potential and competitor accounts and implementing a sales call cycle for the target markets
- Prepare quotations, proposals and contracts as required
- Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue per available room for both Crown Macau & City of Dreams
- Develop new business and maintain service strategy for own accounts and those for the department
- Liaise with fellow employees, other departments and clientele in a professional, informative and courteous manner to ensure that an effective working relationship is maintained at all times
- Source and communicate market intelligence regarding competitor hotels, destinations and industry developments to the Sales and Marketing team. Provide feedback on changing marke conditions, including trends in the competition
- Utilise Opera (Property Management System) to maintain a key contact database for the corporate market, including: ensuring the database is updated and maintained with relevant information gathered from sales calls and other avenues
- Coordinate entertainment throughout the year for clients. This will involve individual activities and joint activities with the whole sales team.
- Perform and delegate administration duties as required in regards to planning, organizing and implementing work assignments and collating figures for appropriate reports
- Assist in the development of annual business and marketing plans including setting sales goals. Including in thisis the need to identify new business possibilities and to also obtain feedback from guests
- Exhibit exceptional customer service at all times to both guests and fellow employees when communicating instruction, information or advice, ensuring the information is received in a timely manner and understood
- Adhere to and act in accordance with all established policies and procedures within Crown Macau and City of Dreams
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive hotel/travel industry experience within a senior sales role is mandatory
- Hospitality or sales/marketing qualifications
- Proven customer service skills at a five star standard
- Strong network and knowledge of Macau & Hong Kong Corporate market
- Strong knowledge of hotel PMS (preferably OPERA) and Microsoft Office suite of products
