Finance - Supervisor
Position Description: · Responsible for general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and records retention, banking, annual audits, construction accounting, daily and weekly cash flow forecasting functions of Cotai subsidiary. · Ensure proper accounting record is kept for all construction related activities. · Perform validity and reasonableness review of accounting documents prepared by Construction Clerk before posting to Job Costing. · Perform reconciliations of construction cost system and verify reconciling items. · Revise budget coding system and ensure proper budget code is assigned to construction transactions. · Monitor the construction budget performance and prepare budget report for management review. · Set up necessary procedures to maintain data integrity of such accounting records, monitor the process and correct deviations. · Set up procedures to keep proper records on construction contracts and change request orders. · Set up necessary working procedures to ensure various accounting and administrative policies set by the management are properly followed. · Coordinate with outside parties, consultants and Construction Manager on construction accounting issues. · Supervise and give guidance to subordinates to ensure working procedures are followed effectively and properly. · Prepare various analysis reports for management when required. · Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior. · Liaise with Internal and External auditors. · Monitor the performance of subordinates: if necessary, rotation of job duties, attendance of job-related training, regular team activities recommended to improve quality, skills and morale. · Maintain and improve Timberline System. Position Requirements: · College degree. · CPA or equivalent. · Five years accounting experience with at least two as an accountant. · Construction experience. · Prior supervisory experience. · Prior experience in installation of accounting systems. · Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. · Possess good leadership skills and good temperament in managing a large team. · Have sound analytical skills in interpreting exceptions, irregularities and financial information in recognizing unusual variances and discrepancies. · Possess good interpersonal skills. · Be able to maintain good relationships between different parties. · Have good command of the English language in dealing with internal correspondence and writing Internal Control System policies and procedures. · Possess language skills: Chinese and Portuguese preferred. · Get along well with Team Members and work as a team. · Always be polite in dealing with Team Members and others. · Always maintain a well groomed appearance whilst in the casino complex. |
