Manager, Wardrobe

Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the external and in-house Wardrobe operation and providing the highest level of staff uniform cleaning, care and presentation.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
• Ensure that all uniforms are correctly tailored, cared, cleaned, stored, issued and hung
• Manage the Wardrobe budget for each production and provide costings and regular reports to the manager regarding all uniform and staffing requirements
• Administer the running of the Wardrobe function, providing schedules, budgets, time-sheets etc. as required and maintain
• Spot check all uniforms to ensure that the correct items are being returned and the quality of cleaning and presentation are performed according to THE 13 ’s request and standards
• Inspect all sewing and repairs performed by the Seamstresses
• Conduct stock taking of all uniforms periodically
• Conduct daily pre-Shift meetings with staff
• Provide on-going trainings to all staff
• Complete special projects as assigned
• Ensure that all staff are trained in the safe handling of all uniform convey system and chemicals, and that the equipment is properly cleaned, serviced and maintained
• Ensure that all wardrobe areas are kept impeccably clean and free of lint
• Fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language
• Polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the hotel is represented
• Attends meetings and trainings as required
• Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of established policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as directed
• Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures

• Technical certificate, diploma of garment production or above
• 3-7 years of working experience in a wardrobe of a luxury hotel/resort
• Strong organization skills
• Good written English and Mandarin, with Cantonese is preferred
• Detailed knowledge of working practices of wardrobe operation
• Detailed knowledge of cleaning and caring for staff uniform
• Strong administrative skills
• Ability to cope with pressure
• Good knowledge in PC skills and MS Office Applications
• Good interpersonal skills required. Interacts mainly with colleagues and other staff
