Description
Position Summary:
The person is responsible for buying activities for the company including maintaining updated information on supply market.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in verifying F&B purchase requisitions
Maintain contact with F&B suppliers to obtain market information
Source the correct F&B products and services needed
Request for quotations, negotiate with suppliers and complete the purchase requisitions for approval
Prepare purchase orders for approval
Follow up on purchase orders and expedite delivery
Periodically check the quality of incoming goods upon receiving
Maintain a record of all purchase activities
Assist the Buyer with any other assigned activities and duties
Maintain catalogs of items and prepare new item number additions
Working Conditions
Must be able to walk long distances, bend and lift 10 kg
Must be able to work in both a temperature controlled environment a well as a non temperature controlled environment
Qualifications
Experience:
Prior working experience as F&B buyer in hospitality industry a plus
Education:
Completion of secondary school education certificate
