macauHR, Macau’s largest recruitment services provider
Established in 2005, macauHR is Macau’s largest recruitment services provider. Founded by a team of three Macanese, macauHR grew quickly with the launch of Macau’s first online jobs portal, macauHR.com. macauHR’s online recruitment platform is well suited to Macau’s fast-developing economy offering a new way for companies to access Macau jobseekers.
macauHR then added on a wide range of HR and Recruitment services, with the aim of becoming total solution provider. Today, macauHR employs over 30 staff and provides a full complement of HR and recruitment solutions, including Executive Search, Permanent, Temporary and Contract Recruitment, and Corporate Services such as work permit and quota processing and payroll outsourcing. In February, macauHR launched an Outplacement Service to provide job search assistance and career guidance to employees facing redundancy.
macauHR is lead by General Manager, Jennifer Liao, who joined the company in 2007 following many years experience as an international recruiter in New Zealand, Singapore, and Australia. Jennifer was born in Taiwan and studied in New Zealand where completed a Masters Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Canterbury.
According to Jennifer, “I was attracted to the opportunity to come to macauHR, to build a team of professional recruiters with expertise in their individual business areas, and to tackle the unique set of recruitment challenges in the Macau market.” macauHR recruitment has established specialized recruitment desks in Sales & Marketing, Finance, Accounting & Banking, HR & Business Support and IT. “Strong sector expertise is really a minimum requirement when providing recruitment services,” she says.
macauHR does not stand still for a minute. Only last week macauHR.com announced a collaboration with Macau’s popular social networking site, Qoos.com. The partnership will allow clients to maximize their exposure to both latent and active online job-seekers in the region.
Jennifer says “As a local company, macauHR has a real investment in the region. We are proud to be able to say that, in addition to providing the full cycle of recruitment and HR support to large international employers in Macau, we also work with many small and medium sized enterprises in the region. On the one hand, we provide job posting support for large corporations; on the other we have just introduced a special packages on macauHR.com exclusive for SMEs, to help give them a boost during this challenging period.”
“We also serve a range of businesses in the wider Pearl Delta region: we recently started working with a very large marketing organization in Hong Kong, for example, as well as a hotel group in Zhuhai.”
“In the last 12 months we have experienced great demand for our temporary and contract staffing division, especially with the growth of MICE businesses in Macau. We are proud to be supporting G2E Asia in this area for the second year in a row. It gives me great pleasure that MacauHR can contribute to the success of these important local events.”
“We do not forget our responsibility to our candidates, either. We attend many university and college careers fairs in Macau and regularly hold talks and presentations which give valuable advice and support to jobseekers. Most recently, we had a stand at the Institute Polytechnic of Macau career fair, and conducted a well-received presentation on the subject of “planning your career.” Our next such event will be at University of Macau later this month.”
“Our clients come to us for our expertise and professionalism, and stay with us for the quality of our service, and the candidates we provide. As a market leader in our industry, it would be easy for us to become complacent, but we remain committed to continue improving our service, whether that be through supplying even higher quality job postings, building our talent pool or adding new products.”
